About the Director
Sandy Young
Performing Arts & Drama Productions
As a director, stage manager, and teacher for over 18 years, Sandy has worked with students of all ages - from Kindergarten to adults. She established and grew drama programs for two elementary schools where she served as director and overall production designer for numerous stage productions. Additionally, she is a founding board member of a local community theater where she provided stage management and director duties, contributing to the growth of the performing arts in our community.
Sandy has a master's degree in gifted education and a PhD in curriculum and instruction. She teaches for Greenville County Schools and The Citadel. She is also a local Realtor with Crabtree & Young (Del-Co Realty).
Some of the shows she has directed for schools and community theatres include:
Peter Pan, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wizard of Oz, Shrek, Beauty and the Beast, Elf Jr., Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, Charlotte's Web, and Charlie Brown.
